Same-day Corneal Ring Segment, CXL Effective in Post-LASIK Ectasia
From the American Academy of Ophthalmology
This retrospective review reports the long-term results in 16 eyes treated with femtosecond laser-assisted intrastromal corneal ring segment implantation, followed by same-day corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL). In addition to arresting ectasia progression, visual acuity (P < .001), refraction (P < .001), and keratometry values (P < .001) were significantly improved at a mean follow-up of 43 months. No serious complications were observed. American Journal of Ophthalmology, May 2014
