Recently, the FSO has received inquiries from members seeking help on denials for billing Bleph VF. Below is the language from NCCI manual, Chapter 11 for this service.  This is specific for eyelids with ptosis.

 NCCI, Chapter 11 states:

CPT codes 92081-92083 describe visual field examinations. The visual field examination (one unit of service) includes examination of both the right and left eyes. Additionally if a physician performs visual field examination with the eyelids in the patient’s usual position and with the eyelids taped up at the same patient encounter, the visual field examination code should be reported with only one (1) unit of service.
